ORGANIZATION(S): Fiesta Bowl & Arizona Bowl

During his illustrious career, Alan Young has filled numerous leadership positions across the college football landscape in Arizona. First joining the Fiesta Bowl Board of Directors in 2002, Young worked his way up to serve as Board Chair and Chief of Staff for the Fiesta Bowl and Cactus Bowl games. When the organization needed a steady hand, it called on Young to navigate through a transitional time in its history.

As executive director for the Arizona Sports and Entertainment Commission, Young led the startup and successful launch of the Arizona Bowl in Tucson in 2015 to give Southern Arizona a bowl game after the Copper Bowl moved to Phoenix in 1999. 

Young has a commitment to others, evidenced by his role on the faculty of Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business where he teaches sports management and event planning.

Off the field, Young has held positions with Ari-Med pharmaceuticals and Bushwalker Bags.
