Bowl Season is the advocating body for all 43 bowl games that serve as the postseason for all FBS college football teams. It is governed by an executive committee consisting of nine current executive bowl directors.  

Who runs Bowl Season?

Nick Carparelli serves as the Executive Director of Bowl Season. Nick has been in this role since January 2020, after Wright Waters announced retirement from his position with the Football Bowl Association

How do teams become eligible for Bowl Season?

Teams become bowl eligible when they earn six wins during the regular season (.500). There are 43 bowl games, serving 84 total teams. 

What separates Bowl Season from College Football Playoff?

Bowl Season and College Football Playoff both work as the postseason for FBS college football teams. Bowl Season includes all 43 games, usually beginning in December and ending with the CFP Championship.  

Is Bowl Season the governing body for all 43 bowl games?

Bowl Season does not work as the governing body for all bowl games, but works as the advocating source to enhance the unity of all games. 

Is Bowl Season the former Football Bowl Association?

Building on a one hundred year-old brand, the Football Bowl Association is now recognized as Bowl Season.
