Coca-Cola Bowl Season

The Capital One Orange Bowl was created in 1935 with the mission of generating tourism for South Florida through an annual football game and supporting events. The Orange Bowl brand helped put South Florida on the map and build the community into the popular tourist destination it remains today. In addition to attracting tens of thousands of visitors annually to fuel the local economy, the Orange Bowl Committee has also maintained a legacy of charitable contributions and community outreach in the areas of youth sports, fundraising events and community programs, academic programs and scholarships, and legacy gifts. The most recent legacy gift, Orange Bowl Field at Harris Field Park in Homestead, brings the total to $12 million worth of renovations spearheaded by the Orange Bowl Committee in the last 10 years, at four South Florida parks.
