RAYCOM MEDIA CAMELLIA BOWL

RAYCOM MEDIA CAMELLIA BOWL

In the capital city of Alabama lies tradition and history — a characteristic shared with college football. As the second largest city in the state of Alabama, Montgomery is home to a new college football bowl game. The Raycom Media Camellia Bowl may be new but it offers a chance to walk through time and experience historical landmarks that served as a platform for shaping the South and the United States. Nearby cities such as Selma offer visitors a chance to see where some of the nation’s most critical civil rights movements occurred. While in town, you can see the State Capitol, Hank Williams Memorial, Alabama War Memorial and much more. The Camellia Bowl is the ticket that allows players, coaches and families to experience a city that became a platform for many influential people and events. Come experience something that is truly BIGGER THAN THE GAME.

MORE
  • The Cramton Bowl has played host to major league and minor league baseball and plenty of football games. The stadium was the first in the South to play a football game under the lights, a night game pitting Cloverdale High against Pike Road High in 1927. That game drew more than 7,200 and helped prompt a seating expansion in 1929.
  • The Blue-Gray Football Classic called the Cramton Bowl home during its existence, and the Alabama Crimson Tide played some home games at the stadium from 1922 to 1932 and in various years through 1954.
