San Diego, CA – (August 27, 2026) Sports San Diego announced today that SDCCU will serve as title sponsor of the Poinsettia Bowl as the game returns to the college football schedule after a decade-long hiatus. The 13th SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl will kick off Wednesday, December 23 at 4:30 p.m. at Snapdragon Stadium, airing on The CW Network.
For 12 years, the SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl was a December tradition in San Diego. The bowl showcased top college football talent from the inaugural 2005 matchup of a 51–30 Navy win over Colorado State, through TCU's three Poinsettia Bowl victories (2006, 2008, 2011), to BYU's 24–21 win over Wyoming in the 2016 finale. The 2026 SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl matchup will feature the Pac-12 against an opponent from the ACC, Big Ten, or Big 12 conferences.
