Bowl Season Radio Offers National Call of 18 Games

FORT WORTH (Dec. 15, 2023) -- Bowl Season Radio returns for another season of providing exclusive national audio coverage of college bowl games. The network will carry 18 postseason matchups spanning from December to February.
 
Bowl Season Radio is set to air on terrestrial radio stations throughout the country, as well as Sirius XM satellite radio. In addition, the games will stream live on Tune-In, Varsity Network, and Audacy apps.
 
Bowl Season Radio's presentations feature some of the top broadcasters in college sports, many of whom are household names to the most passionate fan bases in the country. "We feel like we have put together our best line-up of broadcast talent with many of the great voices in the college game today," First Team Ventures' Brian Estridge said. "Couple that with what promises to be an exciting schedule of games, and we look forward to delivering an entertaining and informative Bowl Season."
 
The 2023-24 Bowl Season Radio schedule begins with four games on Saturday, December 16, starting with the Cricket Celebration Bowl between SWAC champion Florida A&M and MEAC winner Howard. The quadruple header also features the Avocados from Mexico Cure Bowl, Isleta New Mexico Bowl, and Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl.
 
"We are excited about the growth of Bowl Season Radio to now include 18 games, beginning with five games this weekend," First Team Ventures' Mike Parsons said. "Our partnerships across the country allow us to deliver quality sports programming to the hungry college football fan base during the holiday season."
 
"We're thrilled to once again give college football fans nationwide a chance to follow some fantastic match-ups," Bowl Season Executive Director Nick Carparelli said. "Bowl Season Radio will allow millions of Americans traveling during the holiday season a chance to listen to the games."
 
One addition to the Bowl Season Radio schedule this season is the East-West Shrine Bowl on February 1. The longest-running college football all-star game, which was first played in 1925, moves to its new home at Ford Center in Frisco, Texas, in time for the 99th edition.
 

Analysts Bring Big-Time Credentials

Hans Olsen is back to call the Isleta New Mexico Bowl, SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl, TransPerfect Music City Bowl,and ReliaQuest Bowl. Olsen was a two-year starter at defensive tackle for BYU, earning All-Mountain West honors. He went on to play with the Indianapolis Colts for three seasons and currently serves as the color analyst on the BYU Radio Network.
 
Landry Burdine served as captain for TCU's 1998 team that defeated Southern California in the Sun Bowl. He continues his role with Bowl Season Radio as an analyst for the Avocados from Mexico Cure Bowl and Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl. Another former Horned Frog, All-Mountain West Conference left tackle Marshall Newhouse, makes his Bowl Season Radio network debut on the Cricket Celebration Bowl. Former Memphis and Virginia Tech head coach Justin Fuente returns to the Bowl Season Radio team this year to provide analysis during the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl. Many other analysts on the Bowl Season Radio roster also have credentials as coaches and/or student-athletes.
 

College Voices Calling College Games

The voice of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Eli Gold, is scheduled to call the 76 Birmingham Bowl on Bowl Season Radio.Kansas broadcasting hall-of-famer and voice of the Kansas State Wildcats Wyatt Thompson will describe the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl. Longtime TCU play-by-play man Brian Estridge has the call for two national broadcasts: the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl and SERVPRO First Responder Bowl. Virginia Tech's Bill Roth will be in the booth for the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl and the ReliaQuest Bowl. Joe Fisher, former voice of the Vanderbilt Commodores, is set to provide play-by-play for the TransPerfect Music City Bowl. Plus, Oklahoma State Cowboys voice Dave Hunziker is traveling to El Paso to describe action at the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl. In addition, Oklahoma's Toby Rowland, Navy's Pete Medhurst, and Colorado State's Brian Roth return to the Bowl Season Radio team.
 

Studio Crew Provides Insight and Updates

Hoppy Kerchaval and Brad Howe will man the Bowl Season Radio network studio throughout the postseason. They'll provide additional points of view on the action, plus information from other bowl games and the rest of the college football landscape. Kyle Wiggs is also set to be part of the studio crew during the Military Bowl presented by GoBowling.com.
